Body: Heavy duty fabricated C.I. casting body to absorb heavy loads and shocks in drawing smoothly.
Gears: Te gears are oil immersed and inspection glass is fitted on the rear side of the machine to check up the oil level occasionally.
Drive: The machine is driven horizontally by means of worm reduction gear through V-belt system.
The body has oil reservoir for worm made of high chromium steel and gears of phosphor bronze to absorb its heat of action while in load and to help it maintaining a long life.
Beating: Shaft and worms are fitted with extremely heavy duty ball and roller bearings. Oil seals are provided where ever necessary.
Cooling: A special water fountain is fitted to the water base for cooling the drum from the inner side.
Intensive water cooling arrangements have been made in the die box to ensure the long life of the die.
Drum ate made of specially graded castings. In a nut shell ‘DSV’ wire drawing machines are of the latest design, easy to operate, smooth in running, noiseless, absorbing heavy loads or drawings.
ELECTRIC CONTROL PANEL
The machines are driven by squirrel cage/slippering type effect. Motors which are automatically controlled by electrical automatic control panel, with inching and push button emergency and wire breaks control and overload device etc. to suit all types of models.
The foot switch tip control performed for threading the dies smoothly. After the dies have been stripped up, the starting of drum operation at full speed is consequently controlled. In the case or wire breakage the left hand blocks are disconnected automatically by the stopping device, whereas the right hand blocks continue the operation.
The standing still drums are connected after the broken wire has been welded, so that the production is not interrupted in the meanwhile. The volt and ampere meters are adjusted in the top panel for general inspection. The electrical separation of continuous blocks is performed in a simple manner by the control panel.
MODE OF FUNTION
Copper and other soft metal wires can be drawn with high tension, where the hard wires such as steel, bronze etc. ate drawn by low tension and either with constant or decreasing extensions without accumulation or reducing of wire on drum. The number or layers on the drum is not altered as the provision of setting the speed of the drums provided, which is very essential for drawing hard metal wires like steel etc. to avoid twisting of the drawing wires which is guaranteed. A special advantage is provided to employ these machines as multiple block wire drawing machines with a number of drafts, as also being sub-divisible in group, which operate independently one of the other. Resetting of the machines for different mode of operation can be very well performed within a short time.
‘DSV’ wire drawing machines are therefore so efficient and versatile that they are adoptable suitable to different working conditions. In continuous machines the attachments are mounted on the extended drum accumulating rings and then the wire is guided by suitable guide rollers fitted with steel pipe pillar. The guide rollers have shockers to absorb the jerks, knotting and breakage of wire. A special hand wheel is fitted in front side to set up the pulling position in the right way before starting the machines.
Proper guidance will be provided for the installations of these machines by our expert mechanics at a nominal extra cost at your site, who will also explain the proper functioning of our machines to your Engineer/Mechanics for smooth working with most efficient results.
